A dog that jumps on a person to express its excitement may seem harmless, but there are number of factors that make it a risky situation. A dog that jumps on people could cause serious injury to itself or others. Imagine the harm caused by an excited 75+ pound dog jumping on an unsuspecting elderly person or small child. It is important to take jumping seriously.
Jumping is a dangerous, unwanted behavior and we use a correction to stop this unwanted behavior. I recommend using an eCollar, Prong Collar, or Bonker to correct the jumping as soon as it occurs. The correction is a momentary event to stop the unwanted behavior of jumping. After the correction is applied carry on as you normally would. Do not dwell or linger on the correction. Remember your momentary correction will prevent accidents caused by jumping from occurring in the future.
