Dog Leashes

A leash is a personal preference that boils down to finding the right combination of material, length, and style for the given situation. Here are some of my favorite leashes and why I use them.

4-foot Biothane Leash

I find this length excellent for teaching a Heel with minimal excess lead. All-weather biothane material makes it perfect for any situation.

6-foot Biothane Leash

The 6-foot lead is perfect for a walk with a potty break, with just enough slack to let the dog move out of your personal space to relieve itself. It is also my leash of choice when beginning to introduce distance in commands. All-weather biothane material makes it perfect for any situation.

15-foot Biothane Leash

The 15-foot lead is the next step up from the 6-foot lead when teaching distance in commands. All-weather biothane material makes it perfect for any situation.

33-foot Biothane Leash

The 33-foot lead provides a simulated off-leash experience that is great for refining a dog's skills before actually going off-leash. All-weather biothane material makes it perfect for any situation.

6-foot Leather Leash

The leather lead is more comfortable in my hand than the biothane lead. That's the only difference for me here.

6-foot Rope Slip Lead

This is my go-to for a quick leash and collar combo. It provides the control needed for any dog when fit properly.
